Stay At Home Quarantine To Stop Coronavirus

People who have been exposed to the new coronavirus and are at risk of COVID-19 may practice self-quarantine. Health experts recommend that self-quarantine should last 14 days.

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that are known to cause diseases ranging from colds to more severe diseases such as Middle Eastern respiratory syndrome (MERS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). Symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to those of a cold at first. However, the disease can cause severe pneumonia, which can be fatal.

COVID-19 is spread primarily when people are in close contact and one person inhales small drops produced by an infected person when coughing, sneezing or talking.

What should we do

COVID-19 vaccine is not expected before 2021. Preventive measures that reduce the chances of infection include:

  • Wear Masks

    Everyone should wear a mask in public places and near people who do not live in your home, especially when it is difficult to support other social distancing measures. Masks should not be worn on small children under the age of 2 years, on all those who have problems with breathing, is unconscious.

  • Wash Your Hands

    Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you’ve been in a public place, or after you’ve blown your nose, coughed or sneezed. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol. Cover all hand surfaces and rub them until they are dry.

  • Use Nose — Rag

    Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, or use the inside of your elbow and do not spit. Then immediately throw away the used wipes and wash your hands. By following the rules of respiratory hygiene, you protect people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and COVID-19.

  • Avoid Contacts

    Avoid close contact with sick people. If possible, endure 6 feet between the sick person and other family members. Keeping away from others is especially important for people who are at higher risk of serious illness.
